Your new company Your new company is a long-standing family business with an excellent reputation which has led to a consistent stream of repeat business for over forty years. The company provide expert residential advice to local home buyers & sellers, from full RICS Building Surveys, to homebuyer reports, and valuations. The business doesn't take on any panel managed work, but the company has long-standing relationships with local housing associations and authorities and provide valuations to properties from single flats within residential blocks, to large detached properties. The market for the business is strictly local and covers Surrey almost exclusively, therefore travel is never exhaustive. Your new role Your new role can either be a senior Building Surveying position, where you focus purely on surveying, billing and hitting bonus targets, or this can be a leadership opportunity and a route to a partnership in the business. The company owner is looking to focus on growing the company profile, developing new business streams and expanding the company client base. This means there is a position for a surveyor to manage the day to day running of the business and delegate surveys based on enquiries. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this role you will need to be an MRICS or FRICS Building Surveyor with residential valuation experience, as you are being brought in to cover a full range of residential duties, taking on surveys or valuations when others are unable to. You will need experience carrying out residential surveys independently, with no responsibility. Ideally you will already be a registered valuer, although this can be gained on the job, provided you have completed valuations previously. You will need access to a vehicle, and a fully valid UK driver's license as you will be required to travel throughout the county for work. What you'll get in return n return for your work you will receive a competitive salary, between £50 & 60K dependent on your experience. You will have your business mileage expensed at 40p per mile. You will receive a company pension with 5% employer and 3% employee contribution. the business offers 20 days of annual leave per year up to 25 days on a year by year basis. The offices are open over the Christmas period although a skeleton staff is generally on hand and office hours are reduced.
