Overview
Liaising with all areas of the business you will contribute and assist our Data Protection Officer, in the development and implementation of the most suitable practices and procedures to enhance and maintain security and ensuring compliance within our business. Responsibilities: - Contribute in creating, developing and reviewing our data protection and information security strategy in line with business needs, contractual obligation and very best practice; - Assist in developing and reviewing reader-friendly, easily understood data protection and information security policies, statements and guidance; - Assist in maintaining existing standards with development and progressing our strategy for achieving ISO 27001 and other recognised standards; - Enthusiastically deliver data protection training sessions as and when required; - Conduct effective due diligence, for the assessment and evaluation of risks on suppliers and software to evaluate regulatory compliance such as international data protection regulations; - Performing incident investigations, impact assessments, audits and other aspects required with reviewing, reporting and documenting all aspects of data protection and information security in order to maintain accurate records and files for organisation accountability purposes; - Handling and processing of any personal data in a lawful, transparent and confidential manner; - Assist in maintaining comprehensive records of all data processing activities conducted by the company and the purpose of that activity; - Liaising with data subjects and clients in relation to individual rights and communicating measures that the company has put in place to protect personal information; and - On-site witnessing of site inspections and system audits Skills: A keen eye for detail, ensuring all work meets the requirement specifications and will also be passionate about not just maintaining but raising the high standards in our department. You'll be excited by documentation and data protection, able to organise yourself and keep on top of a fast-paced workload, remaining calm under pressure. This role will give the right candidate an opportunity to grow and develop within compliance and data protection, or someone with prior experience the ability to build on their existing knowledge taking on additional responsibilities and achieve new qualifications.
