Overview
3rd Line Service Desk Analyst - Birmingham Our client is looking for an experienced 3rd Line Service Desk Analyst, to join a world leading logistics company in Birmingham on a permanent basis due to continued growth and expansion. As a 3rd Line Service Desk Analyst, your role will be to primarily provide technical support on IT, Communications and internal systems, ensuring processes and procedures are followed correctly. The department works in an ITIL based service desk environment answering calls, fixing and escalating faults for on-site and remote users. Responsibilities will include troubleshooting issues through to resolution, configuring devices, installing new software and monitoring / maintaining existing systems. As a 3rd Line Service Desk Analyst for our client, the ideal candidate will need to have at least 4 years' experience of the following: Windows 7/8 and Windows 10, Windows Server 2008/2012 and 2016, Remote Desktop/Terminal services environments. Patch deployment and software upgrades Projects a positive, friendly and professional persona at all times Ability to take a logical approach to fault finding and problem resolution Flexible approach to work with a focus on delivery to deadlines and high standards The creation of new and the reviewing of current documentation including team briefings HP server and networking hardware. Net App and HP MSA SAN hardware. Microsoft Office 2013, 2016 and Office 365 including Outlook setup and troubleshooting. Understanding of VBScript, PowerShell. Deep understanding of TCP/IP Networking and experience with DHCP, DNS, vLAN and VPN's / Firewalls (ideally Sophos). Creating and maintaining technical documentation preferably in Wiki based software. Set up and support of mobile devices e.g. phones and tablets. Negotiating and Purchasing of products and services from suppliers. Experience with VMware virtualisation environments. This is a full time, permanent position between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday and the company is looking to pay a salary of £28,000 - £30,000 depending on experience.
