Responsibilities Once you have completed your training, thins includes spending a bit of time in different departments and getting to know not only your piers but the equipment as well, you will begin working in your role of Supply Chain Coordinator. You will be trained further and be responsible for the management, coordination and delivery of parts and materials from Suppliers to the Factory, ensuring Production and R&D have all that they need to meet the requirements and deadlines. You will be working with and managing up to 400 Suppliers and 500 to 1,000 parts a week. It's exciting, challenging and stimulating. You will be heavily involved in meetings and working with other departments, including engineering and design. More info; · Chasing suppliers and prioritizing work loads in order for parts to meet the production schedule. · Running reports using an MRP system and Excel, including shortages, late deliveries, and current/future projects in production. · Liaising and attending daily meetings with production personnel, establishing requirements, both current and future, as well as discussing problems and urgent cases relating to parts required. · Combat, manage and report on Supplier related issues, such as delivery performance to the Purchasing Manager so that corrective action can be discussed and taken. · Monitoring work in progress within production to ensure any component supply issues are addressed in a timely fashion. · Create picking lists for production and spares orders and issuing them to the stores team in timely manner. Requirements · Worked in a Supply Chain or Procurement or Buying type role · Any relevant qualification is preferred, or degree, but not essential · Experience of working in manufacturing or Engineering OR Industrial industry is preferred but not essential · Expedite purchase orders and deliveries is a MUST. · Ideally involved in the process from dealing with Supplier to Delivery. · Experience with an ERP/MRP/SAP computer package · Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets - intermediate level · Confident to be able to manage and challenge suppliers and deliveries. · Ability to analyse and problem solve. · CIPS qualified (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) - Desirable or have an interest in gaining this qualification If this role sounds of interest, please apply now and send your most up to date CV to Wesley at TechNichols Resourcing to be considered.
