The Role The Application Delivery Engineer is responsible for the delivery and continual improvement of Kalibrate software implementation services. The team also provides engineering services for a wide range of highly available technologies which underpin the delivery of Kalibrate’s Fuel pricing applications. A core focus of the role is the delivery of applications and virtual devices across multiple hosting environments to remote business consumers. The role includes design, troubleshooting, maintenance and capacity planning on Application Delivery team projects. In this varied and exciting role, you are the ‘go to' technical person responsible for providing technical advice and guidance to our internal teams and customers. Working autonomously, you help install and configure a range of technical solutions liaising closely with Delivery, Project teams and other key stakeholders from across the business in addition to directly with our customers. To be successful in this role you need to be a proactive and motivated individual who is passionate about software, have strong technical skills with good analytical and problem-solving skills. Above all else you are a team player who can work in co-operation with colleagues in an efficient and productive way. Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities Duties / Responsibilities Primary technical resource for projects that deliver Kalibrate products and services, demonstrating Kalibrate’s commitment to quality and customer focus. Involvement includes: 0% Scoping; discovering, designing and aiding the overall definition and planning of projects: 15% Planning of the technical aspects of the project: 10% Technical doing and accountability for installs, upgrades, migrations: 40% Technical supporter across all project phases (UAT, Trials, post go lives etc): 10% Transition to operations: 5% Continuous improvement, both proactively feeding product development and the overall department: 10% Implementation of product service packs and updates to Cloud Hosted and On-Premise clients remotely via a formal change process: 10% Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience Technical Must Microsoft Windows Server IIS administration/configuration SQL Server (T-SQL, administration and implementation) Working with Azure IaaS (High Availability, Scalability and Disaster Recovery) Azure administration Highly Desirable Working with Azure PaaS/SaaS services Experience working in a Continuous Integration/Deployment environment Terraform PowerShell Other Must Production of high-quality technical documentation Successful delivery of time-sensitive projects Experience working with waterfall project methods Strong team-work ethic, open to sharing knowledge and promoting growth within a globally distributed organisation Bright, positive personality with a positive outlook and strong team-working ethic Self-sufficient and self-starter with a proactive mind-set Strong ‘can-do’ attitude and ‘customer service’ ethic, putting the customer first Strong, plan focused personality that can manage difficult customer situations where necessary to a positive outcome Ability to instil confidence with both internally and external customers Eagerness to make a difference and deliver outcomes that everyone can be proud of Strong honest communication and influencing skills with great attention to detail Desirable Working with Agile methods (Kanban or Scrum) Experience working in a Change controlled environment Interested?
