UX UI Designer

Squared Up Limited ,
Maidenhead, Berkshire

Overview

Overview Founded in 2011 with the vision of using data visualization to solve the challenge of Enterprise IT complexity, SquaredUp is a rapidly growing UK based software product company. We are self-funded and cash generative, with great products and ambitious plans. Our engineering team is all based in UK, in a modern open plan office. About the Role We are a small but fast growing software company and we don’t yet have the luxury to have different roles for UX and UI design or debate what the difference is. But we do know that both are hugely important and we need someone to help make ours great. We are therefore looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join our team and help us build an exciting new data visualisation product from scratch, as well as helping us improve our current products. We want a talented individual who can bring new ideas and deliver amazing customer experiences. Your primary focus will be developing the User Experience and especially User Interface for a brand new SaaS product that will become our flagship offering over time. You will be our first UX expert so you will need to relish being hands on, covering everything from finding and talking to prospective users to UI design, at least until we are able to recruit others to help you. And you will need to enjoy working in a small team operating in an agile, fast changing environment with lots of unanswered questions. Our primary customers are technical IT people in large organisations – DevOps engineers especially - but the dashboards they design with our product will be consumed by business end users ranging from business leaders to help desk teams to application developers. The teams working on each feature are tight knit, so there is a lot of meaningful collaboration between engineers, product managers and designers. Your role will be to wireframe and design, in conjunction with the engineering teams and product owners, our new product offering; including all aspects of the user journey - signup and onboarding, payment and billing, app usage, administration, reporting, user management, and more. While we serve a global customer base, with the US being our primary market, this position is based at our head office in Maidenhead where our engineering teams are based, working UK office hours.
