Overview

You will be responsible for the development, operational management and successful delivery of all apprenticeship and work-based Programmes delivered by the work-based learning arm. You will be required to lead a team of assessors. You will need: Wide experience of delivering and managing apprenticeship frameworks A1 Assessor award or equivalent Up to date knowledge of the nationally recognised childcare qualification framework Experience of effective performance improvement and quality assurance in delivering apprenticeships and work-based learning programmes. Experience of managing a team of tutors and assessors. Experience of working to funding and awarding body requirements relating to apprenticeships and work-based delivery. Ability to drive and have use of a car with business insurance Responsibilities and Duties Responsible for the operational management and delivery of all apprenticeship and work-based programmes delivered by the Halifax Opportunities Trust work-based learning arm. Work closely with the Community Programmes Lead to further develop and grow the service. Manage a team of tutors, assessors and administrative staff to ensure a high-quality learning experience is delivered to all learners and outputs and outcomes targets are being met. Ensure all key KPI’s, including success rates, overall and timely achievement rates are at least meeting and where possible exceeding national benchmarks. To take the lead in ensuring the work-based learning arm is successfully complying with all OFSTED requirements. Ensure the work-based learning arm is complying with all professional and statutory bodies. Manage relationships with funding bodies and contract primes to ensure all contractual requirements are being met Engage with and build and develop relationships with employers to grow the number of apprentices supported by HOT Ensure all applications to registers of approval for the delivery of apprenticeships and work-based learning are submitted as required (e.g. RoATP). Be responsible for ensuring all awarding body requirements are met to maintain approval for the delivery of qualifications and direct claim status. Quality assure the teaching and assessment process across the different programmes HOT delivers through standardisation, moderation and a programme of planned observations. Lead on the implementation and delivery of apprenticeship standards across those sector areas relevant to HOT as and when they become available. Develop marketing initiatives e.g. Open Days, Media Publicity, etc. which can promote the services provided to the local community, customers, etc. Track, monitor and report on apprenticeship and work-based programme data. Support quality assurance processes within HOT. Responsible for ensuring Quality kite marks such as Matrix are maintained. Monitor and produce reports to improve recruitment, retention and achievement rates etc. across all apprenticeship and work-based learning programmes. Liaise with other programme managers to maximise opportunities to enhance provision in line with HOT objectives. Plan and deliver a range of workshops to support the personal development of apprentices to meet the requirements and identified needs of employers and apprentices Continuously monitor, review and evaluate delivery and progress of all programme whilst ensuring that review and evaluation processes focus on continuous improvement. Ensure all administrative procedures are maintained, up to date and fit for purpose. To maintain data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Ensure client data is kept securely, personal data is not disclosed orally or in writing or otherwise to any unauthorised third party and personal data is only used for the purpose for which it is being held. To ensure the development of new approaches to teaching and learning in line with national developments and the needs of students.
