Role Overview As an IT Infrastructure engineer you will maintain all aspects of our client’s IT infrastructure, helping to ensure they get the very best from the investments made, as well as providing technical support to the business. You will ensure that the standard operating procedures/processes are followed and maintained including taking responsibility for managing the volume of assigned tickets within the ITSM system and the fulfilment of incidents and requests in line with our SLAs and KPIs. Responsibilities: Assist with providing the business a highly available and resilient IT environment Provide out of hours support for P1 incidents Maintain Asset management and reporting systems for all IT equipment and mobile devices Ensure compliance with IT security policy standards Provisioning of new starter accounts and hardware New starter training Patch management Ensure effective communications outside of the IT team. Maintains the infrastructure roadmap for the business. Ensure delivery and support of infrastructure project work to agreed time, resource, budget and quality parameters. Participate in DR and business continuity planning. Ensure that all tickets passed to the internal systems team are responded to within pre-set service levels. Identify relevant problem types and associated priorities. Verify information back to the customer on the call details ensuring that all the relevant information is entered into the ITSM system in a detailed, clear and concise format. Skills/Knowledge: Hardware support (Server, storage, networking, Desktop, Laptop, Mobile) Microsoft desktop operating systems (Windows 10) Advanced Desktop support (at least 3 years) Microsoft Server operating systems (Server 2008 and above) Basic network troubleshooting knowledge Microsoft cloud technologies (O365,Azure) Active Directory and group policy DHCP/DNS Security and compliance knowledge VmWare ESXi
