Overview

My Client an Industry leading Engineering Services outfit are currently searching for a senior area engineer to join their team in Liverpool on a permanent basis. You will design and deliver cost effective, safe engineering solutions for standard and bespoke solutions to customer requirements and mentor and assist in the training of other engineers/technicians. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Prepare designs for high risk temporary works schemes based on the use of the Company s proprietary systems and equipment and in accordance with the Company s work instructions under ISO 9001 quality procedure. Provide clear design information to enable the Regional Engineering Manager to check and approve scheme design. Prepare an equipment parts list for the Operations team. Comply, monitor and improve Company s SHEQ procedures for continued high standards of engineering. Train and mentor the engineering team. You will be required to liaise with CSM , attend customer meetings, carry out site visits to discuss customer requirements and liaise with the commercial department to establish customer satisfaction and you will identify to sales teams new business opportunities. You will check other engineers schemes as requested by the Regional Engineering Manager Efficient use of AutoCAD/ Revit to produce high quality drawings. Produce safe designs, schemes, method statements and risk assessments in accordance with Construction Regulations. Provision and maintenance of high level customer service. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Degree Educated in Civil/Structural Engineering Civil Engineering Experience Civil Engineering /Construction Sector industry experience Experience of delivering technical solutions Driving licence PREFERRED Chartered status of Institute of Civil / Structural Engineering Experience of Coaching Junior teams Customer facing experience.
