Aspire Cambridge are recruiting for a Temporary Agricultural Pickers on behalf of our client in Ely, Cambridgeshire You will have the privilege to work for one of Europe's leading salad and vegetable suppliers. Your job will be based either in the East Anglia region or in Sussex. Role and Responsibilities: This work is agricultural and based outdoors, planting and harvesting a variety of lettuce and vegetable crops. Harvesting Rig: Cutter: cutting salad crops using knives and placing the product into baskets or onto a conveyor Flow Wrapper: placing product on the in-feed for auto wrapping Packer: placing packed produce into boxes Labeller: applying labels to products Stacker: building, stacking boxes and moving pallets Box maker: making cardboard boxes Strapper: strapping boxes on pallets Planting Rig: Scooper: moving trays of plants, loading plants into the machine and removing empty trays Gapper: ensuring plants are aligned correctly in the bed Key Requirements (Qualifications and Skills): Be physically fit and healthy Commit to the full 6 weeks of work as a minimum This is a physically demanding role and is tiring so you will be able to do this role on a continuous basis Accommodation can be provided and transportation from the hostels to the fields will be provided also.
