Lubricant Chemist

To be responsible for the development of new lubricant products. The candidate must be willing to adopt with a hands on approach and also be commercially aware. Main Responsibilities Set product specifications and check they fit the requirements of the end user. Ensure approval of specifications is obtained. Modifying of products where necessary. Liaise closely with Health & Safety, QA and production staff during product development. To support the overall strategy of the R & D Department. To provide technical support on key projects and find significant new opportunities for the Company. To oversee and provide technical support and assistance to the Sales & Technical Support teams, distributors and direct customers outside Europe. To provide assistance to the sales team by updating the technical literature for product range, as well as visits and presentations of products to existing and potential customers. To undertake some overseas travel, both in Europe and Worldwide. Person: Degree in Chemistry. 2 years plus experience in R&D of new products. Knowledge and experience of Development Chemistry in regards to lubricants.
