Overview

Payroller, Fleet, c£30,000 great benefits Due to sustained growth, this client is looking to recruit a new Payroller into their outsource payroll team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working, the successful candidate will be required to: Maintain a portfolio of client payrolls from beginning to end on a weekly or monthly basis. Ensure accuracy and be able to work to strict deadlines. Process fixed and variable salary pay elements, including hourly pay, bonus, commission etc. Calculate SSP, SMP, SPP and other statutory payments, payroll deductions, new joiners and leavers, including holiday pay. Ensure PAYE liabilities are communicated to clients accurately and in a timely manner. Process tax codes. Ensure upload of RTI submissions are processed according to deadlines. Manage auto-enrolment on behalf of clients. Manage client queries regarding payroll in a professional and timely manner. Deal with HMRC correspondence enquiries and statutory bodies. Manage the completion of year end processes. Set up new PAYE payroll schemes for clients with HMRC. Maintain and update client status schedules. Complete any associated general administrative duties, as required. Liaise with other teams within the business as appropriate. To be considered for this position you will need: A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a high-volume payroll environment, (either practice or bureau). Comprehensive knowledge of IRIS Professional Payroll or other leading payroll software packages. Desirable skills: Strong team player. CIPP qualification. Good knowledge of current payroll legislation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong systems skills. This is a full time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week and flexibility is available around core hours. Salary is c£30,000 and benefits include 25 days holiday, life assurance, critical illness cover, income protection and group pension scheme.
