CAD Technical Designer Salary: £21,000 - £24,000 Immediate Start THE BUSINESS: An exciting new position has arisen within a leading business…. We are a leading business within the bespoke furniture sector specialising in the design and manufacture of high end 'Fine English Furniture’. We design and manufacture every conceivable room in a house: kitchens, dressing rooms, cinema rooms, bedrooms, bars etc A huge benefit is that our design team work under the same roof as our highly talented furniture makers and therefore get to see the cabinets through from concept to completion. Although specialising in the private sector and having worked in some of the most prestigious private properties in Britain (and Europe) we have also been commissioned to design and manufacture specialist projects in the commercial sector. Our designers have featured in some of the top interior design magazines. THE ROLE: Working as part of our design team the role you will take on will include: Producing detailed production drawings for the manufacture of bespoke furniture. Working from and understanding architects plans, in addition to measurements taken from a site survey. Working on a diverse, varied & challenging range of furniture designs. Evaluating drawings to make necessary adjustments. Determining the materials/methods necessary for the production. Accurately interpreting concept drawings. Occasional site/client visits. THE CANDIDATE: Could be a post-grad candidate from a design background to start their career in the design industry or equally, for someone already working in the industry and looking to progress their career. Will ideally be familiar with CAD software, preferably AutoCAD, although in-house training given. Will be able to produce, read & interpret design projects & drawings accurately. Will ideally have experience in the manufacture of furniture sector - although not essential. Must enjoy working in a team environment. Will live within a commutable distance of Warwick. Must be spatially aware. Will have confidence in making design decisions. Will be able to work in a meticulous and pragmatic way, with a keen eye for detail BENEFITS: Holiday Bonus Scheme. 20 days holiday (plus 8 statutory) increasing by 1 day extra with every year served - to a maximum of 25 days.
