On behalf of VACGEN, GCS are currently recruiting for a TIG Welder for the first phase of a large project won as detailed below: JOB PURPOSE/PRIMARY OBJECTIVE The main purpose of this role will be: To ensure all TIG Welding projects are completed in conformance with specifications and set time scales. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES The main requirements and employee accountabilities are: Work closely with Lead Technician to enable welding and fabrication objectives to be completed. Complete projects in accordance with planned schedules aligning fabrication and welding workload with machine shop operations. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE The essential skills/experience required for this role are: Minimum 3 years' experience in TIG welding Able to read and understand technical drawings and engineering specifications DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE The skills and experience we would like the employee in this role to have are: Previous experience of working in the vacuum industry would be advantageous. Established skillset in metal fabrication and welding including the use of precision measuring equipment. Ideally working with stainless steel & Mu metal. Able to read specified drawings.
