Factory Manager

My client is a leading multi-national food manufacturer. Solutions-based and innovative, they are at the cutting edge of the FMCG industry. We are seeking a highly ambitious, results driven Factory Manager to be responsible for the safety, quality, performance and leadership of all manufacturing and engineering functions within the factory in Somerset. As the Factory Manager:- You’ll be directly responsible for the leadership team of the factory and indirectly responsible for Production employees overall. You will own the safety culture to deliver the safety measures and improve the standards within the factory. You will support any safety initiatives as required and suggest any improvements. You will deliver the Production schedule to meet customer demand, measured by line PE and wastage percentage. You will set and communicate outputs and KPI targets for the area to ensure business needs and unit financial targets are achieved, creating then maintaining stability first and subsequent improvements. You’ll own the agenda for the factory to meet or exceed customer demands. You will work on an ‘audit ready’ philosophy including BRC, ISO 9,000, ISO 14,001, GMP / Hygiene, ISO 18,001 audits. What Experience are we looking for:- You will need to have managed large teams in a food factory environment within a complex production environment (multiple SKUs, product changeovers, packaging variants) You'll of held full budget and KPI responsibility, know how KPIs are developed and have a track record of achieving results and ‘raising the bar’. Be familiar with OEE. You’ll understand how to lead site performance and culture from a basic environment to highest level of efficiency and standards.
