Role overview We’re looking for an experienced Python developer to apply solid SDLC fundamentals to our current python implementation. Working alongside our data science team to bring their concepts to life within our product set; this is a highly visible and essential role in the business. Being a start-up, we’re looking for someone who can find problems and get stuck in without a rigid role definition. Things we’re looking for In-depth knowledge and demonstrable experience of being a Python developer in a software engineering context, not just scripting Experience of writing Python tests using automated tasks, and enforcing code quality, e.g. pytest, pylint, unittes Experience or familiarity with the following python libraries: Pandas, geopandas, numpy, sklearn, scipy, shapely, statsmodels, pyodbc Experience with both structured and unstructured databases manipulation from within Python Experience as a python developer using git repositories and other SDLC tools. Things that are nice to have Understanding or experience of Docker Exposure to Azure Microservices exposure Challenges We’re a small team, working in a new and exciting space so there will be challenges.
