Mechanical Design Engineer

MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER THE COMPANY Our client is a national leader in the design and manufacture of equipment for the Water treatment industry and are actively looking to add to their Design team due to some major contract wins. They have a history of success delivering demanding projects within challenging environments. THE ROLE The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for driving quality in the design process and will be responsible for the producing detailed drawings and specifications to the manufacturing team to produce products, prototype components and test fixtures. THE CANDIDATE The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will need to meet the following criteria; HND / HNC or Degree (minimum) in a relevant discipline (i.e. mechanical engineering) 3 years experience in design engineering Proven FEA, Stress calculation and bearing system design experience Excellent reporting and communication skills across a broad spectrum of level of seniority Chartered engineer (desirable) Vault, AutoCad 2D / Autodesk Inventor (desirable) Diesel engine and / or electric motor installation experience (desirable) THE PACKAGE IOur client is an award winning employer that has been recognised as a great company to work for and a great place to develop your career.
