Senior C++ Embedded Software Engineer - Halifax Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 We have an opportunity for a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join our industry respected client within the broadcast sector. You will have the opportunity to run concurrent, complex development projects across a number of different product lines. As part of the role, you will be responsible for managing relevant stakeholders and bring together hardware and front-end teams, to deliver against demand and intricate specifications. This role would suit someone who wants to work with the latest tech, including C++ 11 and C++ 17. You will be working with the team to be forward looking in technology, supporting the business to drive innovation and adoption of new technologies. The team you will work in are award winning. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside Phd level engineers and specialists in Linux Yocto and TCP/IP networking experts. The opportunity to cross train, specialise and develop new skills is encouraged. This role would suit someone who wants to work in a collaborative team, who support creative thinking and challenge each other on design and development principles, to make sure they are continuously improving. Experience required: Strong commercial C++ experience, with examples of working in a R&D environment. Embedded software development experience OOD / OOP Working with TCP/IP You’ll have the opportunity to get exposure to: UML, Subversion, JIRA, Git, Yocto and Android Kernel Development.
