Our goal is to become the staffing and services company others aspire to be. Role Outline The Junior Network Engineer will work in the Operations Support team for the EMEA region. Whilst this role primarily focuses on 2nd line technical support across our network infrastructure, a successful candidate may also be involved with the wider business support to also include Compute, Storage, Active Directory, Firewalls, Unified Communications, O365 and Azure. Core Responsibilities Manage and troubleshoot issues relating to: LAN connections, remote access VPN, Cisco switches & routers Process and remedy monitoring alerts as well as identification and escalation of high impact alerts Be part of the 2nd Line Operations Support team that monitor and manage tickets & queues, and take responsibility for the life cycle of incidents and service requests Maintain the support contracts for the EMEA network equipment. Proficiently carry out day-to-day health checks through various platforms; Support of new office build-outs and emergency work which will require travel to new and existing field offices. Work with wider engineering team on Agile projects in the EMEA region. Collaborate with the Global Support teams on Allegis Global initiatives. Build knowledge articles for 1st line team on frequently recurring incidents and tasks. Skills The ideal Junior Network Engineer will have: An excellent customer service attitude and enthusiasm for solving problems and creating technical solutions A solid understanding of Windows Desktop 10 and some Windows Server 2012/2016 Basic VMware experience Experience with Cisco Routing and Switching Other desirable, but not essential skills will include: CCENT and/or CCNA accreditation An understanding of Cisco wireless systems Experience with Firewall - VPN Administration Understanding of ITIL and/or Agile methodologies Behaviours Customer Service Team Focused Building Relationships Business Knowledge Excellent Organisational Acumen Self-Motivation/Self Starter Leading Self and Others Willingness to learn
