Overview
Maxxima are searching for a band 5 Occupational Therapist to work in a mental health setting with male service users, aged 18 – 65. These patients are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness. The OT’s are based on the ward with therapeutic space and in the Therapy Suite. All service users are screened utilizing the MOHOST to identify Occupational Need and assigned a priority level. Information is gained through interview, observations and other members of the team. Goal setting and discharge planning follows with intervention being provided though 1: 1 or group intervention. Intervention may take place on the ward, in the Therapy Suite, in the community or the service user’s home according to need. This role will run initially until the end of September 2020.
