Overview
Our client is for a Legal Counsel / Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their busy and growing in-house legal department. This is a varied position involving drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements. Based in Luton, this position does offer flexible working opportunities. This would allow the successful candidate to work from home or another client site some of the week. The ideal candidate will: Have a strong grounding in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts including but not limited to; technology contracts, SaaS agreements, sales contracts and purchase contracts Be able to assist and help the department on a wide range of other legal matters such as compliance, company secretarial and more Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a commercial / business outlook to their work This opportunity would suit a private practice lawyer looking to move their first in-house who could point to good business and commercial skills. Our client envisages that candidates between 1 and 5 years PQE plus will have the relevant skills / knowledge for this position, however this has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this PQE range but who have the relevant experience.
