Overview
A commercial Management Accountant position based in Northampton, working for a large and highly reputable business in the UK. Description The key responsibilities for the Management Accountant role include: Completing month end process & balance sheet reconciliations Preparing information for accurate P&Ls Assisting in the accurate & timely weekly, monthly and rolling forecasts Annual budgeting and forecasting processes Variance analysis, ensuring any variances are understood and challenged, assisting in appropriate actions being put in place to improve business processes Assisting in improving working capital including debt management, stock & cash control Embedding appropriate business performance tools, ensuring they are understood and utilised Clear and concise internal reporting in preparation for business reviews Business partnering with senior management ensuring full awareness of all finances & financial drivers within the business and how their actions can drive financial performance Assist in driving commercial initiatives to maximise revenue and optimise cost control & margin delivery Analysis of business segmentation and profitability Profile The ideal candidate for the Management Accountant position will fit the following criteria AAT qualified, ACCA or CIMA part-qualified or QBE with 2/3 years relevant experience High numeric and analytical skills with high attention to detail Good financial and commercial acumen A dynamic team player Flexibility to go the extra mile when required Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate information concisely and logically to various stakeholders Pro-active and structured approach Ability to analyse and evaluate information concisely Good Excel Skills Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence internal parties Self-motivated with an ability to effectively plan and organise own work Ability to work well under pressure and to agreed timescales Job Offer Study support (if required) Excellent commercial management accounting exposure Car parking Career development in commercial finance
