Overview

An excellent opportunity in their Underwriting Operations team as Product Governance and Conduct Manager. The role will report directly into their Head of Technical Underwriting. It will work closely with divisional leadership, underwriters, delegated operations, claims and compliance teams. The purpose of the role is to create, refine implement and manage the Product Governance framework for both new and existing products. Their governance processes must ensure they build and manage products which deliver good customer outcomes, are aligned to their strategic priorities and commercial objectives and are within their conduct risk appetite. There is scope to review and re-define the current framework to achieve this objective. Key accountabilities Refining the Product Governance framework and clearly articulating what they are trying to achieve Identifying and implementing a consistent approach to good product governance and management across all divisions T. This will include agreeing what good governance looks like, what it entails and then working with cross - functional stakeholders to deliver this Responsibility for ensuring the Product Governance strategy and framework is clearly articulated and understood. Ensuring the framework is fit for purpose in terms of meeting regulators requirements for a new and existing products Implementing the adoption of the framework Co-ordinating the process on an ongoing basis, ensuring key business stakeholders are engaged Re-evaluating the process and process to ensure it is working as planned and providing regular Management Information and updates to our key senior regulatory committees Managing the product roadmap across the organisation, working with the relevant business units to ensure they have a coherent and up to date view of all product change across the organisation Identifying, delivering and maintaining an approach to monitoring customer outcomes at individual product level for both regulated and non-regulated products, as well as for existing products and new product development Point of contact for Conduct queries and product development input · Assist with general compliance queries Skills & experience Have experience in first line conduct and compliance in either an insurance carrier, an MGA or a broker based business Have thorough knowledge of insurance regulatory regime Strong interpersonal and people management skills and ability to drive consensus Experience of interfacing with senior management and boards/ committees Have project management methodology capability Have strong analytical and interpretation skills Have team orientation - it is important that the person works within the team to ensure high standards of conduct
