Due to continued growth and internal staff progression, we are recruiting for Mental Health Support Workers in ROCHDALE. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will assist in helping a service user with their needs. We support individuals with mental health, learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, dual diagnosis and additional needs. The role is a challenging but very rewarding one, where the daily things you do could be life-changing for the service user. There will be ongoing support and training to help you all staff develop and progress. Some Duties Include: · Helping draw up a Person Centred Plan for our Service Users · Support individuals to develop and maintain relationships · Help promote independence with the Service User · Supporting individuals in the community, taking them on activities etc · Provide advice, support with domestic tasks · Support Service Users to make informed choices around healthy lifestyles PERSON SPECIFICATIONS Some relevant experience is desirable but feel free to apply if you have transferrable skills you feel would suit the role. You must be a team player who is enthusiastic about caring and able to build good relationships.
