Join us a Support Worker (experienced or not) supporting adults with learning disabilities.in the Warrington areaand you'll see why About the role This role is for both our Supported Living services and Lifelong Learning Centre. You will play a key part in assisting the people we support to live as independently as possible. Our Support Workers help with a range of activities from everyday living needs and ‘must dos’ (such as assisting with medications, supporting with attending health and medical appointments, moving and handling), through to the lighter side of life: becoming involved with the local community, shopping, baking, gardening and socialising with family and friends. There is also some personal care involved. You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. What we need from you Firstly, you don’t need experience to become a Support Worker but it’s not easy. The work can be demanding and challenging at times but no two days are the same and the reward of seeing YOUR personal impact is incredibly inspiring and it’s something you’ll never forget. If you have the passion and drive to want to make a real difference, we’ll teach you the rest. With your key qualities and our training, together we can deliver the best possible support. During the six month probation period you will work towards the completion of the Care Certificate which is an industry-wide recognised qualification. You must have a manual driving licence for this role in order to drive service vehicles.
