Overview
CDS Recruitment are currently working with our client who are looking for Mechanical Fitters with an IPAF and a Fork Lift Licence. This is long term, ongoing contract for the right candidate and the purpose of the role is to organise, control and build, (including the assembly of pneumatic equipment), jigs, fixtures and special purpose machinery for a variety of applications. Please note this postion will include 10hr day shifts and weekends in busy periods. Normal working hours are 8am - 4:30pm. Key Responsibilities: Interpret engineering drawings and query inaccuracies Work effectively within specified time limit Build to required standard of quality through self-inspection To be an effective team member, working with supervisor and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow with maximum output Adhere to/comply with the Company's Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring that the work area is kept in a safe and tidy condition To take proper care and protection of company owned workshop equipment To be willing and available to work on site Candidates ideally will be skilled and experienced in the following:- Fitting Machining Pneumatics Robots Welding Inspection Commissioning. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings A strong understanding of health and safety requirements and general good housekeeping.
