Overview

Salesforce Commerce Cloud Architect required by a market leading, award winning eCommerce business based in Bath. The Salesforce Commerce Cloud Architect will oversee the technical architecture for our clients £15m technical transformation plan and will lead the technical vision for the transformation project. The role will work with a variety of technologies to integrate old and new world, internal applications and third parties. The Salesforce Commerce Cloud Architect will be responsible for delivering technical solutions and advising the business on the best technical options to deliver the business requirements. This will include APIs into legacy databases and automated export/import of data between the systems. This will also include developing widgets for front end ecommerce likely in React. The role will work with in house development teams as well as 3rd party suppliers to transform the system architecture to maximise business benefits and trading opportunities. Duties: Responsible for technical architecture of transformation solutions Assessing technical solutions and presenting them to technical and non-technical audiences Analysing existing technologies and identifying things to keep, improve or replace Lead the technical recommendations for build/buy decisions Working with the project managers and business analysts on the transformation plan, requirements and delivery Software architecture, direction and technical expertise in the design, implementation and delivery of internally built solutions. Comprehensive knowledge of software engineering principles and web development best practices Leading and mentoring engineers Relevant system/function specific experience and qualifications: Minimum 8 years' experience in software engineering / architecture at a senior level with recent experience at architect level. A strong background in Salesforce/demandware Architect Experience with ecommerce platforms (including SFCC/Demandware), XML/XSD, REST, JSON, NodeJS, React, Google Cloud, Databases, Queues. Other technologies in use that would be useful to have knowledge and experience of ColdFusion, C# .net core, Typescript, SQL server, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Microservices, APIs Systems integration experience including warehouse management, inventory management, order management, ERP, Marketing and Transactional email, CRM. Agile development: Kanban and Scrum, Continuous integration, Continuous deployment, build pipelines, Jira, Confluence, Slack, Bitbucket, Agile Testing. Experience of agile project and product management This fantastic role comes with a starting salary of £70,000-80,000 p/a, a 15-20% annual bonus, pension, health cash plan, generous staff discount, free gym membership, cycle and computer scheme plus many more.
