Overview

Job Purpose Interserve are looking to hire a static mobile Multi Technician to become part of the Facilities Maintenance team based at HS2, Snowhill, Birmingham. The candidate would be responsible for carrying out a range of general maintenance tasks, ppm checks, fabric maintenance tasks, business support tasks and occasional janitorial tasks. You will report to and support the Facilities manager in the delivery of planned, reactive and ad hoc maintenance tasks. You will be required to work a 40 hour week. Responsibilities The role will include a variety of tasks including but not limited to the following:- Weekly & monthly planned maintenance tasks First line response to reactive repairs on site The use of a PDA which uses TBS software to enable the delivery, reporting and completion of assigned tasks The use of Excel to maintain records Re-lamping of defective luminaires Minor building fabric repairs Minor decorating tasks Minor plumbing repairs Occasional general cleaning or janitorial duties Chaperoning visitors, contractor or fellow employees as required some of which could be OOH’s Ad-hoc porterage duties, including furniture moves and room set ups Maintain accurate documentation of all assigned work orders Comply fully with Health, Safety & Environmental policies. Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring their safety during any works and keeping them updated where necessary Proactively walk the floors, reporting any maintenance or H&S issues to the helpdesk and appropriate manager Resetting of lockers on site as and when requested Carrying out postal services on behalf of the client including distribution and communicating via email systems Management of first aid boxes including replenishment of stock Stock taking and replenishment duties of stationery on site Knowledge Skills & Experience You will be required to pass a BPSS security check pre-employment Experience of building maintenance and general handy man duties Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a building environment Have a proactive approach to maintenance and building management Keyboard skills and basic computer literacy Desirable:- Experience in delivery of statutory and routine PPM’s Experience working within a corporate building Personal Qualities & Behaviours:- A team player but able to work under own initiative and able to escalate matters out of own limitations Good communications skills A desire to develop and undertake training as and when required. Customer focused Presentable and approachable, with a ‘can-do’ attitude
