Overview
Response and Support Officer SMaRT service is our client’s response and support team, supporting vulnerable people to live independently. They need Response and Support Officers (RSO) to work in their SMaRT service in Nottingham. Are you looking for temporary work due to the change in your circumstances as a result of COVID-19? Location: Nottingham Salary: £21,341 - £25,414 per annum pro rata for part time (£11.09 - £13.20 per hour) Hours: up to 37 per week, full time, part time and bank hours available - As the SMaRT service operates 24/7, you will be required to work on a rota basis which covers 24 hours a day; including weekends Christmas and all bank holidays. Closing Date: Sunday 12 April 2020 Interview Date: Telephone Interviews are being arranged on an ongoing basis and immediate starts available About the Role: As a Response and Support Officer you will help support vulnerable people to live independently. You will monitor assistive technology solutions, which includes critical equipment such as fall detectors or smoke and door sensors. You will also need to provide a range of wellbeing checks; either face to face or over the phone including medication prompts, emotional support and reassurance, contacting next of kin and emergency services. In addition, you be required to help arrange maintenance repairs, provide a mental health helpline, monitor CCTV, support colleagues with safeguarding concerns. About you: To work as a Response and Support Officer, you will need to be patient and show empathy to callers You will be able to work in a fast pace service, but remain calm, professional and be dedicated to help their most vulnerable customers. You will be motivated and be able to think outside the box and react efficiently and effectively in emergency situations. You will have experience of working in a customer facing team environment and experience of working in a telephone support service. You will also be educated to NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Telecare, Care, Housing, Customer Service, Business Administration, ITC), or be able to demonstrate relevant work experience.
