Due to the growth of our business, a position has arisen with AlinaHomecare Disability Support for an experienced Deputy Manager to join our vibrant team covering the Epsom, Sutton and Redhill supported living services. AlinaHomecare Disability Support is seeking to recruit a Deputy Manager who is experienced in working with people with learning disabilities to provide the best quality person-centred support. You will support and supervise a team of support staff, ensure the smooth running of the day to day management and administration of the supported living services and deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager. This role allows you to have a positive influence on all aspects of running the service, ensuring the team enable the people we support to lead a valued and fulfilling life, whilst also maximising their potential physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. You will assist with managing referrals and undertake assessments of an individual’s care needs for prospective care packages, in conjunction with the Registered Manager. With proven effective communication skills, you will support the writing and updating of support plans, risk assessments and other documentation. You will interact with all departments, internally and externally, to ensure the safe and efficient running of the service. You will be liaising with Social Workers, GP’s, CPN’s, District Nurses, families and other key people when appropriate in reviews and changes to care packages. You will have good organisational skills, working with the Registered Manager and Coordinator overseeing staff rosters to ensure the correct skilled staff allocation, to meet the needs of the service users, within pre-defined budgets and funding agreements. You will ensure that all Support Workers are fully briefed, supported and supervised, to enable them to carry out their role effectively. We will ensure you have allocated time to participate in training and development, in order to carry out the full requirements of the post. The role requires you to work flexibly over 7 days including evenings and alternating weekends to ensure the needs of the service are met, to participate in the organisation and staffing of Out of Hours On-call service You will be a car driver with business insurance, willing to travel across the geographical area of the branch when required and local company offices.
