Slurry Operative

Title: Slurry Seal Operative Location: Retford, and contract locations throughout the UK Business area: Highways - Surface Treatment Business Applications close on ­­­Monday 30th March Introduction: Kier Local Highways are recruiting for Slurry Seal Operative to join the Surface Treatment Business. This is full time contract. Although the role will be based at the Retford office there is a requirement to work away from home as dictated by works programmes. Key duties: Carry out works associated with the slurry seal operation as directed by the Foreman Ensure that work is completed to a high standard within the given time scale. Work flexibly and carry out any suitable and reasonable duty requested. Carry out duties in a safe manner as prescribed by the relevant safe systems of works / risk assessments. Ensure all company Health and Safety requirements are adhered to and appropriate protective clothing is always worn. Identify unsafe practices / near hits and report to foreman. Attend daily site briefings. Work in other areas of the business as required. Skills and experience required: Experience in Surface Treatments and Highway Maintenance Industry Full UK Drivers Licence Sector Scheme 12d Qualifications & CSCS card (Desirable) Holder of a CPC card & CAT C driving licence (Desirable) Willingness to work away as programmes dictate Working in the public eye training Ability to speak up It's worth remembering that we'll undertake the relevant/standard employment checks if you're successful in the selection process.
