The School sits on a 25-acre campus, is located to the west of Wolverhampton city centre and comprises impressive architecture with excellent sporting facilities. The School has a number of strategic projects currently under consideration, including the provision of infant education and the potential to partner with an International School. Overview The Finance Director reports to the Head and is a key part of the Senior Leadership Team, who will be responsible for the effective day to day management of all business and commercial aspects of the School. The newly appointed Finance Director will take the commercial lead on strategic projects, understand the associated risks and opportunities and will address external economic and political factors affecting the future success of the School. Key responsibilities will include financial planning and management, human resources, risk management and compliance. The role also ensures the effective management of the estate and all health and safety matters. Furthermore, the Finance Director will provide support to Directors and Trustees in the role of Company Secretary and Clerk to the Trustees. Direct reports will include the Finance Manager, Network Manager, Estate Manager, Catering Manager and PA. This is an exciting opportunity to play an integral role in developing the Schools' vision and for enhancing its operational and physical infrastructure. About you The successful candidate will be a qualified finance professional with strong leadership and people skills and an outstanding track record of providing "best in class" operational and financial delivery in either the commercial sector or education. The ability to inspire and drive change, with a high level of personal credibility and demonstrable experience in implementing a strategic vision will be key to success in this role.
