SITE MANAGER - PERMANENT - REGIONAL MAIN CONTRACTOR £50,000 - £55,000 package Bristol An exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced construction Senior Site Manager to work for a fast-growing regional Main Contractor with a strong pipeline of projects across the South West. The first project will be a £3 Million new build apartments project The Company Our client is a fast growing and long-established top-tier main contractor based in Bristol. Operating across building sectors on both New build and refurbishment projects. With a loyal and robust client base, the company has already secured a significant pipeline of work across the Bristol area for 2020. Typical projects are between £3Million - £12Million in value. The Role As Site Manager, you will be responsible for: Managing the site and ensuring the work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality by effectively organising and managing the site activities Support the business in building and operating a team to achieve company objectives by assisting the Senior Management team. Carry out 'toolbox talks' in line with the work areas programme and maintain records Monitor reportable accidents and ensure correct paperwork is submitted to appropriate personnel Identify the need for Risk Assessments / Safe Systems of work and implement in your area whilst maintaining records Manage and implement H&S procedures including the weekly audit process and ensuring all registers and documentation are entered correctly and in a timely manner Co-ordination with sub-contractors and appointment of them in conjunction with the Contracts Manager and Commercial Team Attendance, preparation and reporting for all meetings in relation to the project To have a clear understanding of the way the job is priced to enable us to take full benefit of any opportunities for variations, change is specification or scope of works to maximise profit. The Person The successful candidate will likely have; Experience as number 1 Site Manager working for a Regional or National Main Contractor on new build projects Experience managing projects from the ground up including fitout A steady permanent background and a demonstrable track record in delivering Construction projects more than £3 Million in value within non-residential sectors.
