Overview

Our client is a successful insurance company and currently have a rare opportunity for an ambitious commercial manager with experience of insurance price comparison websites to join them and directly influence the business in terms of their commercial partnerships. They are looking for a person with a track record of driving the performance of third-party relationships -specifically aggregator and affiliates partnerships - and a proven ability to influence. This role is responsible for the delivery of our price comparison website distribution strategy for our core insurance products as well as supporting the product strategy for our non-risk income products to maximise business performance. What you need to do • Responsible for the success of aggregator and affiliates relationships in the delivery of the price comparison website distribution strategy for the core insurance products • Support the delivery of the product strategy for optional ancillary products and premium finance plus other products/services • Contribute directly to the delivery of Non-Risk Income (NRI), i.e. ancillary products and premium finance (and potentially new sources), to maximise business profit • Day-to-day management of our commercial partners to build strong and effective relationships • Responsible for enhancing the performance of key commercial partners to ensure achievement of SLAs, adherence to commercial terms, maximisation of profit, consideration/adoption of new services/products becoming available • Pro-actively manage the exploration, negotiation (commercial and contractual) and procurement process for new ancillary products, premium finance, emerging NRI sources plus other products/services • Ensure we achieve fair contract terms by actively keeping up to date with the changing marketplace, e.g. through networks, industry news etc • Ensure product disclosures and documentation are kept up to date within customer journeys and contracts • Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal product governance procedures to improve the value for our customers including new product design, the review of existing products and delivery of changes • Support and oversee audits by partners • Review aggregator websites, competitor insights and marketing practices Your skillset • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role working with insurance price comparison websites • Demonstrable deep knowledge of the insurance market (motor would be an advantage) and the surrounding regulatory environment • Adept at stakeholder management with a proven ability to influence • Managing and establishing healthy commercial relationships • Confidence in interacting and working with directors • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and within deadline • Organised and proactive • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to work on own initiative and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders • Passionate about driving business improvements • Highly commercial and able to understand P&Ls • Self-motivated
