Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer

MAIN DUTIES No supervisory/management responsibility To support the Chief Engineer in maintaining the factory fabrication, plant and equipment. With the aim of ensuring it's efficient and safe operation and compliance with relevant legal requirements. Carry out general maintenance of plant, equipment and fabrication of building as required. To carry out planned maintenance on factory fabrication and machinery as directed by the Chief Engineer. To efficiently deal with unplanned maintenance of machinery and equipment, in order to ensure the minimum disruption to production. Carry out machine setting adjustments as required. To complete appropriate records for maintenance carried out ensuring the standards as set out in the Company Policy & Procedures Manual are maintained. To ensure a high level of hygiene is maintained both personally and within the work area. To comply with Health, Safety and hygiene legislation. To behave in a non-discriminatory manner in accordance with the Company Ethical Trading Policy. Carry out duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Ability to solve problems effectively. Good level of initiative. Good communication skills. Ability to work within a team. Experience of working in a similar role or environment is desirable. Range of skills in a wide field of engineering is desirable. Knowledge of hygiene practices. Engineering qualification is preferred
