Overview

Executive Assistant Research England, UK Research and Innovation Bristol £30,782 Full time About the role You will provide comprehensive business management, secretarial and administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Research England ensuring the COO is fully supported and sufficiently prepared to carry out their role as effectively as possible. You will act as an important interface with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders at the most senior levels. You will ensure that all work is delivered to the required high standard and in a timely manner maintaining confidentialy at all times. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive support to the COO Manage a range of support functions for the COO including, undertaking diary management and travel arrangements ensuring the COO has adequate time to prepare appropriately for meetings Ensure the COO is briefed sufficiently in advance of meetings, and actions are completed in a timely manner. Compile all necessary paperwork and maintain a 'bring forward’ system Proactively manage the schedules and prioritisation of action for the COO ensuring they are utilising their time and resources as efficiently as possible and able to meet deadlines on differing requirements Undertake and manage all correspondence for the attention of the COO. Demonstrate initiative to redirect queries to the right individual or respond on their behalf as appropriate, escalating as required. This includes drafting letters, presentations and other documents About you You will be a proven professional PA/Executive Assistant with experience of providing high quality support The ability to work effectively with senior managers and senior stakeholders from a variety of organisations, with ability to build and maintain good and professional relationships at all levels, remotely as well as face to face Able to write clear and accurate correspondence, appropriately tailored to the audience Able to proactively manage workloads, resolve competing demands, and cope with changing priorities in a flexible and proactive way. High attention to detail and a conscientious approach to work The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure and in the face of conflicting and changing priorities to ensure that business critical tasks are delivered, showing awareness of the impact of any decisions and actions High level of ICT skills and ability to work with a variety of IT systems and applications, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Educated to at least A level standard or equivalent Benefits UKRI recognises and value employees as individuals and aim to provide a pay and rewards package that motivates staff to perform to the best of their ability.
