West London This is an opportunity to join a leading securities business to own the SOX compliance program implementation across all entities of the business. Based in west London, they are seeking an experienced finance professional with extensive experience with SOX compliance regulations in the US and UK markets. You will have the primary responsibility for ensuring the global process template enhances the control environment for all markets. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has extensive knowledge and experience in Financial Controls, Audit and SOX Compliance to lead in delivering a strong control environment for the business. Role Responsibilities: Main role purpose is to implement the SOX compliance program across all newly acquired entities of the business Develop and oversee the execution of the annual SOX testing plan, working closely with Big 4 accounting firm on control gap assessment and to determine thresholds, scope of process & controls, manage expectations and address identified concerns Perform risk assessments and manage the SOX program, assess potential deficiencies to determine their impact on financial reporting and serve as the SOX point of contact for any requests and concerns Work with the process / control owners to develop remediation / action plans for any deficiencies identified and monitor deficiencies to ensure timely closure Skills & Experience: SOX and compliance experience, audit and internal controls knowledge required Ideally, you will possess an accounting qualification, or equivalent experience Practical and hands-on global process experience developed through participation in process improvement projects Exposure to project-based, creative, or professional services industry would be preferable Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The Offer: Competitive base salary benefits bonus.
