Overview
A Ladies Fashion Supplier are looking for a Garment Technologist in Manchester Your new company A ladieswear fashion supplier are looking for a Junior Garment Technologist to join the team in Manchester. They are currently working with a number of leading and well-known UK brands including ASOS and Missguided. Your new role The Junior Garment Technologist will attend internal fit meetings, identify issues and update factories overseas, they will also work with the Design team to create size specs for sampling and costings. You will also ensure critical path dates are managed and met on time and be key in speaking with both customers and the factories to make sure all fit samples and production runs are correct. You will also help assist and produce technical specifications and prepare tech packs to be sent to factories. All technical information will need to be kept up to date and all necessary alterations are made following reviews by customers. You will also need to check and advise on test reports and advise on fabrics being used. Plus, you need to carry out checks for bulk stock and ensure quality and measurements are as per approval. What you'll need to succeed You will need to have at least one year's industry experience within a Garment Technology role and ideally will have worked on ladies' knitwear. You also need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and be organised and pay high attention to detail. You will be confident with excel and Microsoft works. You also need to have a good knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting/grading.
