About the role: We have an opportunity for an Arrears Operations Manager which will have responsibility for part of our BAU operation and being the primary contact for key 3rd party relationships. Supporting the Senior management team with other key arrears activity and delivery of ongoing strategic changes. Key Responsibilities include: Managing day to day BAU operational activity, and being a key point of contact for any technical escalations that impact operational efficiency Managing the relationship with some of our key 3rd party outsource contracts and conducting regular supplier review meetings Ensuring ongoing supplier due diligence is conducted in a timely manner, with the support of the business oversight team Managing actions and appropriate escalations with 3rd party operations Working with financial analytics to ensure appropriate KPI measures in line with business performance Responsible for ensuring colleagues have a clear understanding of the business objectives and how their role contributes to them Lead, engage and motivate the team to deliver business objectives Build capability of team by supporting and coaching through effective performance management practices Provide regular and timely feedback to team members Effectively communicate with Head of Function to provide feedback on potential succession plans and team performance Delivering our Numbers: Responsible for the delivery of team objectives Ensure work is delivered in line with SLAs and agreed targets Responsible for managing costs within budget parameters Managing our Risks: Ensure business policy and processes reflect current practices and are adhered to Provides operational and specialist insight to drive continuous improvement Identify risks and provide proposals for potential solutions, balancing risk with business needs The skills and experience you will have: Previous management level experience and responsibility within the collections function or similar environments Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels in an organisation Ability to influence and challenge constructively at all levels Ability to lead, coach and mentor a team Able to delegate responsibility Able to work under own initiative, with minimal supervision Rigorous attention to detail Understanding of FOS guidelines, FCA regulations & TCF principles Wide knowledge of financial collections and debt recovery processes Previous experience of initiation and implementation of new processes and efficiencies Proven knowledge and experience of the end to end debt sale process Why choose a career with us?
