Overview

We are looking for multiple Test Engineers to join a fast growing start up software company based in Bath who are about to embark on a new project to take their award winning software to new markets. This company is very well backed and the future of the company is certainly secured. This is a growing software company with a strong product ethos, as such everyone will gain experience in product development and release cycles, continuous integration, automated testing and so forth. The testing technologies in the product suite are built around a proprietary parallel execution Python test workflow engine for multi-OS, distributed environment deployment and testing, as such there is a large focus on automation and use of Python. Other testing technologies used include Jest, Enzyme, Selenium, Rundeck. The technologies used in the product suite include Python, REACT, Bash, Windows PowerShell, JavaScript / JSON, Apache CouchDB, .NET, C. The operating systems used are Linux (Ubuntu / Debian) and Windows Server. 3rd party, open source low level and functional libraries are integrated with proprietary development. Virtualization is powered by the Xen Hypervisor technology. VMBuilder is used to automate virtual machine builds. The disk subsystem is based on ZFS/ZOL. This company leverages AWS and VMWare for Management Platforms and leverage Terraform and Ansible for rollout. You do not need experience in all of these technologies to secure a role with this business, but these technologies must interest you and you should be able to talk about your knowledge of them clearly and ideally in relation to some actual hands on experience, whether this is from University, person projects or commercial. We are seeking enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible individuals who are willing to learn new skills and deliver quality software as part of an agile team.
