Overview

Are you an experienced all-round buildings and facilities maintenance engineer, with strong plumbing and decorating skills in particular, along with good basic carpentry and electrical knowledge?are you now seeking either a full-time, or perhaps part-time, permanently employed Hotel Maintenance Engineer position in the Newport Pagnell area? The Swan Revived Hotel, situated in the heart of Newport Pagnell and just a short drive from the M1 motorway, has long been a favoured venue for both business and pleasure stays and offers a large range of modern bedrooms, meeting and event rooms, a quiet lounge, relaxing restaurant, two bars and free onsite parking. It now seeks to appoint a Hotel Maintenance Engineer that will oversee and, in the majority of instances, undertake efficient repair and maintenance services both inside and outside the building on a day to day basis. As Hotel Maintenance Engineer your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Checking on and advising management of damage and required repairs Carrying out general all-round maintenance of the hotel, both inside and out Completing plumbing, decorating, electrical and carpentry based repairs and improvement wherever possible Liaising with external contractors as and when required Ensuring public safety during all repair work Checking and maintain applicable stock levels (light bulbs etc.) Plant watering Record keeping when required With the requisite skills and experience and most likely possessing your own tools, you’ll be a versatile Hotel Maintenance Engineer and indeed DIY advocate, that’s strong at problem solving when required and essentially 'turning your hand’ to most things of a buildings maintenance and repair nature. On offer in return is a basic salary of £22,000 - £23,000 per annum (negotiable subject to experience), along with pension and 28 days annual holiday entitlement (inclusive of statutory bank holidays).
