Overview
Job Summary You be responsible for providing a comprehensive claims support service to clients, negotiating with Insurance companies, working within the claims team and as directed by the Claims Manager. Your responsibilities will include: Manage client claims, including advice on whether a claim is covered, issue and handling of claims forms, issue of claims settlement whilst at all times realistically managing the clients' expectations Liaise with insurers, underwriters, loss adjusters and other third parties regarding the handling of claims and pro-actively chase for settlement Deal with claims enquiries from staff, clients, insurers and other third parties in a professional and timely manner Actively monitor progress on outstanding claims and provide timely and accurate feedback to clients and account executives Accompany Account Executive and attend client visits as required Adhere to all FCA regulations and requirements Key skills and competencies Communication skills - able to communicate clearly and effectively to other people with various levels of knowledge; face to face, over the telephone and in writing Client Focus - Reacts positively and effectively to our customers’ needs, actively seeks feedback from clients in an effort to improve customer service. Is able to proactively identify trends and issues, which affect clients Team Working - Co-operates as a willing member of the team, offering assistance and sharing knowledge Problem Solving - Using information and resources available to make effective day-to-day decisions, showing perseverance with a problem until an appropriate solution is found Work Planning - Demonstrates the ability to plan and organise effectively in order to meet timescales Self - Development - Working towards or be willing to study towards appropriate Cii qualification and actively seeking to improve knowledge base
