Cyber Security Analyst

Our Government based client is looking to recruit a Cyber Security Analyst on a 12 month contract to join their award winning head office based in Exeter. Working within the Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) you will identify, respond to and manage security incidents and breaches as well as looking at lessons learnt to prevent re-occurrence. You use a range of tools as well as provide regular metrics and information to measure the effectiveness of controls. You will also contribute to IT security practices and policies as well as ensure the business is informed of IT Security. The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge and experience: Information Security and Cyber Security including use of monitoring tools Working in a large, complex and Public Sector environment including HMG Security Policy Framework Communicating IT Security to both technical and non technical staff Detailed background in IT Systems and Networks Ideally experience working in a SOC Preference will be given to candidates who hold some of the following qualifications: ISO27001 Course CISSP SSCP GIAC - Security Essentials, Certified Incident Handler, Certified Intrusion Analyst Preference will also be given to candidates who hold current SC Security Clearance however those eligible to apply will also be considered.
