Overview
Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a well known, established service based business based within the Altrincham area. Due to a period of growth, this is a newly created role. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company that has experienced double digit growth for the past three years without exception and is an investor in people. The role itself will report directly into the Credit Manager but the successful candidate will gain exposure to the wider finance team and will gain start to finish credit control experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who ideally has had some exposure to a credit control role. However, candidates who have previously worked within a high volume, fast paced customer service/contact centre type environment will definitely be considered. Full training and support will be given and there is real opportunity to develop and progress within the business over time. The main duties of the role will be - -Reviewing and analysing aged debt and making high volumes of calls to recover monies. -Agreeing debt collection targets and negotiating payment plans. -Payment handling. -Ensuring that credit notes are processed correctly, monitoring reasons for credit notes being raised. -Identifying problem debts that require escalation and liaising with the Credit Control Manager as appropriate. -Reconciling accounts. -Maintaining relationships with both colleagues and clients. -Other ad-hoc tasks as required including invoice coding and running system reports. You will: -Ideally have previous experience or understanding of a credit/collections based role or will have worked within a customer service based role within a contact/call centre environment. -Have experience of working within a fast paced environment and will be able to work towards strict targets and KPI's. -Be keen to learn and open to training and support. -Have strong written and verbal communication skills. -Be able to communicate at all levels and be able to liaise with managers and clients. -Be able to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines. -Have strong IT skills and pick up new systems quickly. For further details please contact Gemma Watmough. Sewell Wallis acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers. As part of our recruitment process, we will retain your CV for a period of one year to enable us to consider you for future roles. After this period your CV will be deleted.
