Building Services Manager

Leading Tier 2 Contractor requires Building Services Manager to join their Central Belt Based Business. Your new company Our Client are a leading tier 2 contractor who have a busy and sustainable set of projects currently ongoing across the Central Belt with a focus on Glasgow and Edinburgh. With a focus on the commercial and education sector they can offer complex and interesting projects to their staff. As their business grows they now need to add a Building Services Manager to oversee some of their largest projects. Your new role As Building Services Manager you will take a lead role in the management and coordination of the key building services contractors working on their projects. From coordination and managing the design process to ensuring that site coordination between key MEP contractors is organised properly onsite you will play a key role in the successful delivery of their largest projects. You will be a key part of the project management infrastructure across these projects and you will be liaising with and coordinating with all of the key project stakeholders from engineers to architects to subcontractors. Based across multiple sites this role needs someone who is an excellent communicator , is well organised and is an expert across the key MEP trades packages. What you'll need to succeed Our client are seeking a true MEP expert with a solid background in either Mechanical or Electrical project management or who is currently working for a building services manager for another main contractor. You will have an excellent understanding of sequencing MEP trades and understand how to mitigate risk and avoid common package conflicts which develop on medium to large commercial building projects. Your written and verbal communication skills are exceptional and you understand the benefits of influencing and negotiation in resolving any issues which may arise.
