Overview

Avanti recruitment are currently working with a software vendor who specialise in the oil and gas sector. The company are looking for a Java developer to join their already knowledgeable team. The role is fully remote but you must be UK based. You will have a say in the technologies used within the company, you will be working on the development of their cloud platform. You will get to use the full SDLC and will have a great opportunity to use various technologies. You will predominately be working on the backend. This is the type of role where your opinion will really count and you can have a huge impact on the progress of the company and technology stack. You will be the type of person who has a passion for technology, any side projects would be advantageous. If you have a good understanding of architecture, design and coding then this could be the role for you. The company don’t like people doing overtime and their servers shut off at 19:00pm to ensure you have a great work/life balance. Required Skills: - Excellent Java development experience - AWS Experience - Agile experience (scrum/Kanban) - TDD/BDD - CI/CD (Jenkins Ideally) Desirable skills: - CSS - REST API’s - SOAP - Architectural experience The salary on offer for this position is up to £50,000 100% remote working Flexible hours 33 days holiday.
