Salary - circa £27,000 dependent on skills & experience (pro rata) As our region flourishes and grows at one of the fastest rates in the UK, it is essential we have assets and investments which have the capacity to provide clean and safe running water. Essential to achieving our commitment to safe and quality water is our Strategic Investment Management team who are responsible for defining and implementing an industry leading asset management approach and developing forward investment plans with a value of £5bn. To help the Strategic Investment Management team with these aims and objectives, we have an exciting opportunity for a Cost Intelligence Analyst to join us on a part-time basis of 20 hours a week, based out of our Peterborough office. What will you be doing? The Cost Intelligence Analyst role is a great opportunity for a professional who is looking to thrive in an open and challenging environment. Focused on ensuring that service providers provide accurate and timely capital and operational cost data, you'll develop cost relationships to ensure Total Expenditure (TOTEX) estimates are provided for all activities. This part-time role will see you become an expert on cost collection systems, cost modelling and estimations whilst building strong relationships internally and externally to deliver a value added service. Key responsibilities include: Support the development of capital and operational cost collection templates and ensure that the data is effectively collected. Build collaborative relationships to capture robust costs and support the development of KPIs to report the delivery of required outputs against the overall plan. Verify data submitted by service providers and carry out random audits on data validity. Provide "help desk" support to users on issues, system functionality and expert opinion in the correct way of entering project data. Oversee data trends, analysis and input to identify areas of improvement of the data collection process. Develop and maintain cost models by analysing, collaborating and verifying data. Support colleagues and framework partners in the use of Investment Decision Support Tools, specifically the estimating system. W hat do you need? As our next Cost Intelligence Analyst, we are looking for you to be educated to degree level or equivalent and have proven relevant strong IT experience. Highly motivated and able to work to pressurised targets, you'll consistently challenge current working practices and processes to deliver customer excellence. With the ability to acquire a good knowledge of assets, cost collection structures and system coding, your excellent data analysis and problem solving skills will compliment your personable and approachable manner to best manage stakeholder's expectations.
