Overview
Are you an experienced compliance professional, with skills in conflict checks and familiarity legal processes? Have you had experience managing or mentoring a small team? Then this role could be perfect for you. A prestigious top law firm in central Bristol is looking for a Conflicts Team Manager to join the busy but friendly team. You will act as a senior Conflicts analyst, whilst supervising and managing the wider Conflicts team. Due to the current situation, interviews will be taking place via Skype. You will: Take an active part on conflict checking, and understand the rules around them to execute an excellent service Manage responsibility for providing the conflict checking service to the firm internationally Receive Customer Due Diligence (CDD) from all office and check for accuracy and state of completion Perform sanction and anti-terrorist checks for each new client Submit Know Your Client (KYC) evidence in line with renewal policies Lead and oversee the Conflicts Analysts in the UK and overseas offices which will include; completing their performance devilment reviews, recruitment of new employees to the team, and identifying development needs Your skills and experience: You will have strong prior experience in conflicts and compliance, ideally gained from a legal environment You will ideally have experience in managing a small team You have a high degree of knowledge of compliance processes and terminology, including a basic understanding of money laundering and KYC (know your client) regulation You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbally You will be educated to degree level or equivalent Sounds like you?
