Overview

Akton Recruitment are working with the Local Authorities to fill a number of contract positions for Residential Children’s Workers in a Secure Residential Unit. The contracts are to cover staffing shortages as a result of Covid-19 therefore are likely to last at least 3 months. We provide secure accommodation for up to 38 young people, 8 of whom are sentenced or remanded by the Youth Custody Service and 30 young people are accommodated for their own or other safety under Section 25 of the Children's Act 1989 and are commissioned by local authorities. We provide each child and young person with a safe, secure and caring home encouraging and inspiring them to be the best they can be in all aspects of their life enabling them to achieve their potential and take their place in society. We help them to make positive differences in their lives through education, healthy lifestyles and reducing risk.
