Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing, Technical/Engineering Job Title: Process / Manufacturing Engineer Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 DOE plus Bonus and Benefits Location: Plymouth Acorn Recruitment is working in collaboration with an award winning, high- flying global manufacturing organisation on the outskirts of Plymouth in search of a talented Process / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer . . . This is a full-time permanent position with a salary range of £28,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience. Good location accessible by all means of public transport. Day To Day Responsibilities Include: Reporting to the Head of Industrial Engineering the responsibilities of this role will include: Ensuring that existing processes and/or machines that are improved have the sustained capability to World Class status measured against Process Capability Indices Ensuring that any new processes and/or machines that are implemented are capable to specified Process Capability Indices, prior to bringing into our own manufacturing process and are implemented strictly in-line with the manufacturing strategy and company procedures Undertaking a lead role in New Product Introduction projects taking into account all aspects of layout, material flow, etc using standardised lean principles Identifying, taking ownership of, facilitating, supporting and encouraging continuous improvement activities within manufacturing Continuing to develop skill set through continuous professional development to support the successful implementation of the manufacturing strategy Supporting the Head of Industrial Engineering to achieve the team's target Personal objectives will include: A CPK value of 1.33 on all existing critical processes/machines and any other new processes/machines To ensure procedures are adhered to which maintain capability of processes/machines To undertake process capability improvements that help towards achieving 'zero defects' To identify, carry out and facilitate improvements in OEE performance What's In It For Me? £28,000 - £35,000 DOE / Permanent 39 hour week / Monday to Friday Overtime available / X1.5 in excess of 39 hours / X2 Sundays Monthly Bonus (performance and attendance based) / Christmas (EOY) Bonus 25 days Holiday plus Bank Holidays Fruitful Company Pension Scheme / Free onsite parking / Subsidized canteen / Access to Company Rewards Portal (providing discounts at over 850 stores) / Further benefits Essential Experience Required: A minimum of HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Experience of high volume sheet metal fabrication processes including bespoke machinery, robotics and fig/fixture design Experience of implementing processes in a Lean Manufacturing environment Desirable Experience: Working knowledge of Siemens PLCs would be advantageous Flexible and proactive If you feel your experience can fulfil this role and you are interested in working for a fantastic company, please send a recent copy of your CV to or call and speak to Daniel Thompson (Senior Recruitment Consultant) for a confidential and relaxed chat.
